Stereocilia & ate touring the UK & Poland this November

DIY booking and touring is life and two of Europe’s most interesting upcoming guitar drone / ambient acts are about to live the magic together at the end of this November. Amek Collective affiliated ate is embarking on a tour with fellow guitar-drone experimentalis Stereocilia. Even better news than the total of eight shows the drone artists are about to perform on is the limited edition split tape they are putting together and will be available only on the tour.

Stereocilia is Bristol based guitarist and composer, John Scott who uses his guitar and live looping techniques to create dense, rich layers of sound. Over the past 10 years John has been extensively performing all around the UK and in mainland Europe with various projects. He has also presented work for live radio broadcasts, and soundtracks to short films. He’s done records for labels like Echoic Memory, Drone Rock Records, Low Point and Champion Version.

ate_photo by SGate is a solo project of Petar Petkov, a graduate of the Academy of Music in Gdansk. He explores the potential power of simplicity, minimalism and repetition. By studying instrumental drone ambient through loop layering of minimalist and symbolic musical figures, ate is building warm and introvert soundscapes. He’s released two solo albums published by Bulgarian label Amek Collective – MCCV (2016) & Secondary Drowning (2018).
