Never Trust a Politician: Dutch Hardcore Punx OUST Premiere New EP
Dutch hardcore punx OUST are celebrating the release of their sophomore 7-inch EP, out now through Sabotage and Autoreverse Records.
OUST are a political hardcore punk band consisting of five passionate individuals scattered around the Dutch cities of Amsterdam and Nijmegen, although one of their guitarists now resides as far away from the rest of the band as Rome. They all know each other for years through the magical world of the DIY punk scene and activism.
Following the band’s 2019 six track demo tape (released on vinyl in 2020), OUST are now ready with their second 7-inch release called Never Trust a Politician, out now through Sabotage Records and Autoreverse Records.
“There is plenty of stuff to be angry about these days and we like to put that energy in our music, we do not believe in happy endings or a good outcome”, explains the band. “We are going straight into the abyss.”
“We started out as a very straightforward d-beat punk band but as those things go music evolves and we might get weirder and weirder by the day. We do like to stick close to our crusty hardcore souls and I guess you can hear that in the new EP”, sums it up OUST’s drummer.
Listen to Never Trust a Politician in full below and hopefully catch the band on their European tour planned for 2022.
