You can tell that we’re pretty hyped about the current post-punk scene in Greece. So many cool bands and two of them are soon to start their tour from Sofia.
Chain Cult’s new EP came out this summer and is a great successor to their really powerful demo. The band is around for just a year but already managed to do as much as most DIY punk bands do in five years—two releases and a European tour!
The Isolated EP consists of two banging energetic, chorus-infused post-punk tracks. Short, sincere and to the point—this is a record that ticks most boxes for me. Dark, uplifting tunes with lyrics about personal and political topics, with pretty catchy, yet abrasive sing-alongs. This might be my shortest review by far, but I feel it represents the record well.
I really hope this band reaches more people around the world and be sure to catch them live if they play your city.
