Trenchgrinder – Demo 2015

Artist: Trenchgrinder

Title: Demo 2015

Release: Digital

Year: 2015

Label: DIY

Bolt Thrower is still a favorite band among the crust punk milieu and Brooklyn’s Trenchgrinder proudly wear their influence on their sleeve. There are only 3 songs on their new demo but they all revolve around the 4-minutes mark, so 12 minutes in total is a fair enough length for a demo. In the end of the day, it is your generic guttural grindcore that’s more influenced by death metal than anything else, although it’s played well and doesn’t sound like shit.

In conclusion, I’ve never been a metalhead and I don’t even own a Napalm Death shirt but if you are into the already mentioned Bolt Thrower, old school grind and Swedish death metal, then you might appreciate these guys. Previously, they have released a split EP with a band called… SkullShitter, and another demo that was mastered by the d-beat punk icon Jack Control of World Burns To Death/Severed Head of State.
